The Accidental Embroiderer

Oh no – not more free pigeons…

It’s very strange but the first two blog readers to comment on yesterday’s free pigeon both said that if he were lonely, then all anyone had to do was to stitch him several times, and he’d have some companions

Well, if anyone actually wants to stitch a flock of pigeons, then the least I can do is to provide some of them! So here are two more from the same flock that will go with the first one

Two more for the flock

One word of warning – when I pass on designs to anyone I always stitch them out and watch carefully just to make sure that there are no glitches or problems with them. Of course I’ve stitched these two out, but as I never thought anyone else would be using them I may possibly have left one or two small mistakes in them. But even if I have, the quality of the final stitchouts should be OK

So HERE is number 2 and HERE is number 3, in .pes v6. As always, let me know if you can’t download them

  1. Oh Mia ! What a generous gift to us, thank you so much for your kindness. I do like number 2 with wings spread wide, and number three is also cute. I have been thinking about how I would change the wings, by possibly flipping them over. I am sure they will stitch perfectly as always your designs do. Now I’ll play with colours.

  2. Thank you Mia for the lovely pigeons! As always your embroidery art is special and I appreciate your sharing your talent with us! Have a great week!

  3. You know how I love the pigeons, these will be great to use. Thanks so much. I will think up some wording. “Pigeons drop hints to a lucky few.”
Our pigeons are city dwellers, gathering in a few city parks to wait for bits of bread that people throw to them. I assume that is still happening.
Your pigeons look well groomed, perhaps they are the upper class pigeons! 🤣 This is a lot to consider, would they wear top hats and tiaras? Definitely! Some might even live in a castle, or in the high roosts at universities, distinguished by their degree. Oh my! This is definitely a lot to think about. Linda

  4. While one daughter lives and works in San Francisco, California, and calls them “Winged Rats” because of their boldness, one has to admit these birds have fully evolved to be city dwellers. Your are lovely, however, Mia, and I’m sure these have manners!
