First of all, thank you so much to those readers who wrote to wish me a speedy recovery from the injuries I sustained during my recent fall. Things are improving – slowly, but at least they’re improving! But I still haven’t been able to sit long at the computer so I don’t have any really new designs to show you. However this one is reasonably recent – it was shown (and sold!) at our recent NEOS exhibition
The grouse in the bonny broom
It’s a pretty typical scene in this part of Scotland in June, when the broom is out. Scottish broom in full flower is quite spectacular – the hills and glens positively glow with gold. And it’s not unusual to see a grouse among the bushes pecking at the flowers!
I should just mention that until things are back to normal here I won't be posting very often. However I'll still be here and doing my best to work on new designs. And I wont forget about posting some new freebies!
Hi Mia, I can definitely see why this beautiful machine embroidery work of art sold at the NEOS exhibition. It is so great to hear that you are continuing to get better from your fall. Just take care of yourself, and we will all look forward to hearing more from you when you are better and back to normal. In the meantime, just rest and take it easy.
Lovely work. Glad you are healing and wishing a speedier recovery for you. Best wishes.
That bird is beautiful and the yellow of the floral design really frames it well. It feels like he should move around he looks so real.
You need more time to heal, and I know you are not one to sit still for long, so get a few good books and settle in and you will heal better and faster.
Best wishes, Linda
I hope you feel better soon, and sorry you had fallen. Your design is stunning! Take care always and enjoy hearing from you.
Sincerely, Sharon
I adore the way you did the petals on the broom flowers!
I hope you recover quickly. I know the deep bruising that can happen in a fall takes weeks and weeks to go away.
